Building Better Horses, One Step at a Time

Professional training specializing in colt starting, trail horses, problem horses and more.

Our Philosophy on Training

At Duke Brothers Horses, we believe that good horses are made through concentrated training, quality miles, consistency, practical experience and wet saddle blankets. Liam has dedicated his life to mastering the art of horsemanship and creating well-rounded, reliable horses. His philosophy emphasizes:

  • Concentrated Training: Attention to detailEvery ride is intentional with the goal of getting one percent better everyday.
  • Quality Miles: Not just miles. Quality miles. Outside miles are a staple in our training program. We rely on outside riding to get our horses mentally mature at a young age.
  • Practical experience: Exposing the horse to the real world and a variety of situations. Getting them out of a controlled environment so they are ready for every possible scenario. Horses in training get hauled to different locations and are exposed to real world experience everyday. Well rounded horses aren’t broke in a controlled environment.

Whether starting a colt, addressing problem behaviors, or tuning up an experienced horse, Liam’s approach is grounded in hard work and dedication.
